08/11/2020- One of the last surviving major events of the summer has also been canceled in the wake of rising coronavirus cases in our area. Marinette’s Mayhem on Main, which was being planned for August 14th along the city’s Main Street, has now been scrapped for 2020, citing concerns over the spread of COVID-19. The annual outdoor event typically features foods, vendors, kids’ activities, and live music. Most of Marinette and Menominee’s major celebrations have been nixed this year, including the Logging & Heritage Festival, Waterfront, and the Giant Pumpkin Festival. At this point, the Menominee Old World Christmas Market is still slated to take place November 20th, with that event moving from downtown Menominee this year to Marinette’s Community REC Center.
