The Menominee County Board on Tuesday honored outgoing sheriff Kenny Marks. Marks joined the Sheriff’s Department in 2001 as a part time corrections officer. He was elected Sheriff in 2008 and served three terms before deciding not to run for reelection this year. During his career with the County, Marks also served as a corrections officer, road patrol deputy, Undersheriff and Veterans Service Officer. Undersheriff Mike Holmes who was elected in November takes over as Sheriff in January. The board also honored Commissioner Jan Hafeman who is retiring from the County Board after first being elected in 2012.
