The Menominee County Board has voted to hold a Household Hazardous Waste collection this summer.  The Board voted to contract with Veolia Environmental Services of Menominee Falls, Wisconsin for a two day collection, with one day in Menominee and one day in Stephenson.  It would be scheduled on a weekend at the end of July after the County Fair.  Based upon what was collected three years ago, the estimated cost to the county will be around $29,000, but it will depend how much household hazardous waste is actually collected.

Following a closed session, the Menominee County Board voted to make a conditional offer on a property in the City of Stephenson which is being considered as a new location for the Menominee County Fair.  The County is offering $40,000 plus all closing costs for the parcel.
