An investigation into another officer-involved shooting is underway in Marinette County. Authorities were reportedly dispatched to a call for a suspected domestic incident in the Town of Amberg around 11 a.m. Friday morning. Upon arrival at the home, law enforcement attempted to make contact with the individual who was sitting in a vehicle. That person left the scene and was followed by police until they eventually came to a stop and exited the vehicle brandishing a firearm. A Marinette County Sheriff’s deputy then fired in return, striking the individual. Life-saving measures were performed on scene, but the person later died at the hospital. The involved Marinette County officer has been placed on administrative leave while the Wisconsin DOJ investigates. No further information has been made available at this point.
