23 year old Jared Williquette of Pound was convicted Monday in Brown County of 2nd degree reckless homicide and armed robbery in connection with a February 2019 attempted drug robbery in which an 18 year old Preble High School student, Federico Abarca was shot and killed.

Williquette was initially charged with being party to first degree reckless homicide, but was convicted on a lesser charge.  He is scheduled to be sentenced July 12th.

Two others involved in the incident, 20 year old Gavin Rock of De Pere and 22 year old Jarid Stevens of Oconto are scheduled for a plea hearing on Monday.  A fourth person, 20 year old Colton Kehoe of De Pere had pleaded no contest to charges against him, and is now appealing his 18 year prison sentence.
