03/06/2020- When voters in Menominee County head to the polls Tuesday to cast their ballot in the Presidential Preference, they’ll also be deciding on some additional funding proposals. County-wide, citizens will be asked to support a 911 and Central Dispatch millage of up to 0.625 for five years, raising an estimated $499000 for the 911 system annually, as well as a millage for the Menominee County Library system of up to 0.375, generating around $300000 each of the five years of its life. Voters in the Norway-Vulcan Area School District will also see a Sinking Fund Millage proposal on their ballot, seeking the authorization to levy up to three mills per $1000 of taxable valuation for ten years. There’s also a proposal in Mellen Township for an Emergency Medical and Fire Protection Services Millage of up to one mill for six years. Polls are open Tuesday from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m.
