Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team (UPSET) reports three men have been arrested and arraigned following a three-week drug house investigation in Menominee.

Detectives made controlled purchases of crystal meth from two different suspects at the same house, and then the three men involved were arrested on Friday March 26 by UPSET.

24-year-old Kyle Smith, of Menominee faces 7 felony counts including Delivery of Meth, Possession with Intent to Deliver Meth, Manufacturing Meth, and Operating / Maintaining a lab within 500 feet of a specified structure (residence, school, church, business). All are 20 year felonies. Smith was also charged with  Maintaining a Drug House a 2 year Misdemeanor and Possession of Xanax a 2 year Felony.

27-year-old Mikeal Scantlen, of Manitowoc faces five 20-year felonies including  Delivery of Meth, Manufacturing Meth, and Operating / Maintaining a meth lab, All are 20 year Felonies. He is also charged with malicious Destruction of Police Property, a 4 year Felony and Maintaining a Drug House, a 2 year Misdemeanor.

44-year-old Romulus Ard, of Green Bay is charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver Meth, a 20 year Felony and Possession of Fentanyl, a 4 year Felony.

Bond for all three suspects was at set at $150,000 at an arraignment yesterday in Menominee District Court.
