07/06/2020- We’ve reached the halfway point on the timeline for work of a stretch of US 141 in the City of Niagara. The $4.2-million Wisconsin DOT project involves the complete reconstruction of US 141 between Pine Street and 4th Street, including replacing existing roadway pavement, curb and gutter, sidewalk, and curb ramps, as well as realigning the Vine Street intersection, and replacing the storm sewer system. There’s also resurfacing work being done between Betters Court and Pine Street, to include milling, asphalt pavement, and pavement marking. This week crews will work specifically on the storm sewer placement along 141, as well as concrete sidewalk and driveway portions of the project. US 141 is closed to traffic between Betters Court and County Road N through mid- to late-August and will be controlled by flagging operations from that point through the end of the project, which is slated to wrap up September 18th.
