03/26/2020- Despite shelter-in-place orders in both states, travel is being maintained and unrestricted between Wisconsin and Michigan. Officials from Marinette and Menominee took to social media to debunk a rumor that check points had or would be set up at any of the bridges connecting the two cities or states and that drivers would be required to have passes to cross the state line. They are, however, urging the importance of limiting travel to essential purposes only. Michigan’s Stay Home, Stay Safe executive order is in place until at least April 13th, while Wisconsin’s Safer at Home directive runs through April 24th.
