The former representative for Wisconsin’s 89th Assembly District officially has a new gig. The Wisconsin Association of Health Plans announced Monday that John Nygren accepted the position of Executive Director for their organization. Representatives with WAHP say they conducted and extensive search and interview process for candidates, and Nygren’s experience in insurance, government, and leadership made it a clear decision for the Association board. The Wisconsin Association of Health Plan’s member plans provide coverage in every Wisconsin County to individuals, employers, and government programs. Nygren stepped down from his Assembly post earlier this month, just weeks after securing another term in the seat in the November election. Nygren is expected to begin his new role at the Association later this month.
