Demand for COVID-19 vaccine continues to exceed the supply of vaccines distributed each week.  This week, Oconto County Public Health received about 1/3 of their requested doses from the State of Wisconsin.

Beginning on March 1, 2021, additional populations will be eligible for COVID-19 vaccination in Wisconsin.  Due to the limited supply of vaccine, Oconto County Public Health will not be vaccinating the new groups until the week of March 15, 2021 or at least 50% of Oconto County residents age 65 and older have received one dose of COVID-19 vaccine, whatever is later.

If you are in a newly eligible group, please do not call Oconto County Public Health requesting vaccination as the department does not have an adequate supply to vaccinate the new groups.  Oconto County Public Health will issue a press release and information on our website, www.ocontocountycovid.info and on Facebook at Oconto County a Place for You when the department clinics open up to the newly eligible groups.

This information applies to Oconto County Public Health vaccination clinics only.  Those that are newly eligible are encouraged to visit the County County COVID Information website for a list of COVID-19 vaccination clinics in and around Oconto County for those that are currently eligible.

Please do not call Oconto County Public Health requesting COVID-19 vaccine unless you have been eligible before March 1st.  These groups include frontline healthcare workers, police/fire/corrections, long term care staff and residents, and those age 65 and older.

Oconto County Public Health appreciates your continued patience during this process.
