It’s the time of year that drivers in Marinette and Menominee may need to start thinking about finding an alternative place to park their vehicles overnight. Menominee’s winter parking ban goes into effect at 2:30 a.m. December 1st, meaning vehicles parked on the street overnight on November 30th will be subject to ticketing. The parking ban runs each year from December 1st through April 1st during the hours of 2:30 and 6 a.m. Residents will need to apply for a permit to park their cars in the City’s municipal lots during this time. The City of Marinette also enforces an overnight winter parking ban on city streets December 1st through April 1st from 1 until 7 a.m. Parking on the tree lawn overnight in Marinette is not an acceptable alternative unless an individual first obtains a permit to do so from the City’s Civic Affairs Committee.
