03/06/2020- For the month of March River Cities Community Pool & the Greater Marinette-Menominee YMCA are challenging each other to a penny war to fundraise for both organizations as well the M&M Area Community Foundation’s Future Fund. The Future Fund is a long-term savings account designed to assist with post high school training or education expenses and every student throughout Marinette and Menominee Counties will automatically receive a Future Fund account when they enroll in kindergarten. Participants in the challenge are suggested to donate 1 penny for every minute they utilize the pool at either the Y or RCCP, but silver coins and bills are also welcomed as contribution to the friendly competition. On March 31st the donations will be added up and bragging rights will go to the pool with the most money raised.
