Bond was set at $75,000 for a Pound man arrested in Menominee in a decoy-style Human Trafficking sting operation.

Prosecuting Attorney Jeffrey Rogg said 33 year old Jeremy Lee Bertrand was charged with three felonies, Child Sexually Abusive Activity, Use of a computer to commit the Activity, and Accosting a Child for Immoral Purposes.  The charges arise from March 19th when local authorities in collaboration with Michigan State Police, the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office and the Upper Peninsula Human Trafficking Task Force, set up an online sting. Rogg says the felony complaint alleges Bertrand answered one of the online ads and agreed to pay for sex with a minor.

A preliminary exam for Bertrand is scheduled for April 12th at 8:30AM.
