Seasonal weight restrictions are being lifted for truck drivers in parts of the UP. Beginning today at 6:00 AM, MDOT will remove the frost restrictions on state trunkline highways from the southern Michigan border north to and including US-2 from Iron Mountain to St. Ignace. County and local roads may still carry their own weight restrictions, but signs are generally posted to indicate this.
