The local Salvation Army is working to ensure every student has the gear necessary to succeed next school year. The organization is accepting applications from qualifying families in Marinette and Menominee Counties for school supplies and clothing Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM through July 20th. Parents will need to provide a picture ID, proof of total household income, Social Security cards for everyone in the household, and proof of address when applying.
To help meet the needs of these families, numerous businesses are participating in supply and clothing drives. “Adoption” tags are available at the kiosk in the Pine Tree Mall’s middle corridor, Jack’s Fresh Markets are accepting “adoption” packages, and new school supplies can also be dropped off at several other area businesses. For more information on donating, call the Salvation Army office at 715-735-7448.
