05/07/2020- It’s National Corrections Officers Week and Marinette County Sheriff Jerry Sauve is commending those on staff in the County Jail for whom social distancing during this pandemic isn’t always an option. Sauve applauded those individuals and their continued dedication to public safety this week. He says it has taken a collaborative effort to keep C.O.s, as well as the inmates, at the jail healthy while also maintaining the essential operations of that division.
Sauve says the role of the Corrections Officer has evolved into a multifaceted position in public safety and he credits those individuals for the County’s historically positive annual jail inspection reports.
