01/09/2019- There’s a conviction in a drug dealing case against a Wausaukee man. 35-year-old Bruce Schmid pleaded no contest to one count of Possession with Intent to Deliver Cocaine in Marinette County Court this week. Schmid was arrested in following a traffic stop in Marinette last August. He was the passenger in a vehicle that was pulled over for having a cracked windshield when a police K9 gave a positive indication for the odor of a controlled substance. Upon searching the vehicle, officers found more than 5.5 grams of cocaine, which Schmid had allegedly recently picked up from Milwaukee. There were four children in the vehicle at the time. Schmid is now set to be sentenced March 19th.
