Woman Takes Notes

Non-traditional students are the focus of two scholarships offered by the M&M Area Community Foundation. The Sara Murray Lambrecht Scholarship for Promising Young Women was established in 2005 by Laura Cunningham and Mari Hoskins, Sara’s daughters. Women, aged 30 or younger attending or planning to attend a four-year college or university are encouraged to apply.

The second scholarship was established by the sons of Hugh and Mary Higley to support non-traditional students from across Marinette and Menominee Counties. Financial need is a principal criterion for the Hugh and Mary Higley Non-Traditional Scholarship. The award must be used for tuition at a two-year or four-year higher education institution.

More information on these scholarships, including applications, may be found on the M&M Area Community Foundation  website at mmacf.org. Applications are available March 1st – 29th. Students in high schools throughout Marinette and Menominee Counties must apply through their high school Guidance Department.
