03/18/2019- Silver Alerts work quickly to inform residents about missing and endangered senior citizens and the ability to provide officials with thorough and accurate information about that individual can make all the difference. That’s why the local Aging and Disability Resource Center, Bay Cities Radio, and the Marinette Moose Lodge have teamed up to bring the Senior ID Program to Marinette County residents. The program is open to anyone age 50 and older and records critical information about participants that can be relayed to others should they go missing. Pam Daye with the ADRC says it takes just a few minutes of your time.
June Ehlers runs a local support group for caregivers of those who suffer from Dementia and related illnesses. She’s participated in the Senior ID program herself and says in an emergency, the information on that CD could save a life.
The next Senior ID event is planned for March 27th at the Peshtigo Senior Center, but several other dates across Marinette County have also been scheduled for 2019. For more information or to get signed up, call the ADRC at 715-732-3850.
