03/08/2019- Three months after it was expected to open, the lights remain off at the local juvenile home. Advocates for Healthy Transitional Living took over providing care services at Share Academy, formerly Crossroads last year and had an initial opening date planned for December. However, Health and Human Services Director Robin Elsner reports the agency is still awaiting the approval of their group home license from the state. Elsner says he has been in contact with the Department of Children and Families and State Representative John Nygren to try and expedite the process, but at this point, he’s been given no indication of when the eight-bed facility may finally be able to begin accepting residents.
