04/12/2019- Months after it was first expected to re-open, Marinette County’s youth group home will begin accepting residents next week. Health and Human Services Director Robin Elsner says Advocates for Healthy Transitional Living, the care provider for the Share Academy, received their probationary group home license this week. The facility was renovated after the Marinette County Group Home Association backed out of the group home formerly known as Crossroads in 2018 and Share Academy is now expecting their first youth resident Monday. Elsner expects they’ll have 3 to 4 residents in the next month. The 8-bed home was initially expected to open in December, but that date was repeatedly pushed back due to delays in the state approval process.
