02/18/2020- The Marinette County Sheriff’s Office is alerting the public about the placement of a known sex offender into the community. 53-year-old Willard Tyler has served his criminal and civil commitment on a conviction of 1st degree sexual assault and is being released from custody. He’ll reside on South 7th Road in the Town of Pound and will be required to comply with all supervised release, Sex Offender Registry, and GPS monitoring rules. Officials stress that this information is not intended to increase fear, only to update the public. The Sheriff’s Office is holding a community notification meeting on the matter this Thursday at the Pound Town Hall beginning at 6 p.m.
