THE COLEMAN COUGARS WRESTLING TEAM WON THE DIVISION 3 STATE CHAMPIONSHIP ON SATURDAY NIGHT IN DRAMATIC FASHION EDGING FENNIMORE 27-26 AT THE KOHL CENTER IN MADISON. AFTER THE FINAL MATCH, THE TWO TEAMS WERE TIED AT 26 AND COLEMAN GOT THE TIE-BREAKER ON “MOST TOTAL FIRST POINTS SCORED” TO CLAIM ITS FIRST STATE TITLE SINCE 2014 AND THE SIXTH STATE TITLE UNDER HEAD COACH KEVIN CASPER. THE COUGARS HAVE NOW WON ELEVEN STATE TITLES OVERALL.

WAUSAUKEE WON A DIVISION 5 REGIONAL TITLE BEATING GIBRALTAR 79-70 AT WAUSAUKEE. HAYDEN RENIKOW LED THE RANGERS WITH 23 POINTS. WAUSAUKEE WILL FACE LAONA-WABENO IN THE SECTIONAL SEMI-FINALS ON THURSDAY NIGHT IN ELCHO AT 7 O’CLOCK. HEAR THE GAME ON 96-3, THE ROCK.
