MENOMINEE NATIVE CHRIS HOFER IS RETIRING AS HEAD FOOTBALL COACH AT KINGSFORD HIGH SCHOOL AFTER 31 SEASONS. HOFER, THE SON OF MENOMINEE HALL OF FAME COACH KEN HOFER, COMPILED A 253-94 RECORD WITH THE FLIVVERS INCLUDING A CLASS B STATE TITLE IN 1993. HOFERS TEAMS ALSO MADE IT TO THE STATE TITLE GAME THREE OTHER TIMES IN THE 90’S. ON MAY 11TH, CHRIS WILL JOIN HIS FATHER AS A MEMBER OF THE U.P. SPORTS HALL OF FAME.
