THE TIGERS RALLIED FROM AN EARLY 16 POINT DEFICIT TO ADVANCE TO THE SECTIONAL TITLE GAME THIS SATURDAY AGAINST NEWMAN CATHOLIC  AT 1PM AT APPLETON EAST HIGH SCHOOL.

 

BOYS BASKETBALL LAST NIGHT  –  REGULAR SEASON

MENOMINEE 46 STEPHENSON 32  KYLE ANDERSON LED THE MAROONS WITH 19 POINTS. MENOMINEE HAD TWO REGULAR SEASON WINS, BOTH AGAINST THE EAGLES. MENOMINEE OPENS DISTRICT PLAY ON MONDAY AT BOYNE CITY  AT 5PM CENTRAL TIME. HEAR THE GAME ON CLASSIC HITS 103.7.

MARINETTE AT GREEN BAY NOTRE DAME   ON SPORTS RADIO 570                                                                THE 6TH SEEDED MARINES ARE 19-4 WHILE THE 3RD SEEDED TRITONS ARE 16-6. MARINETTE JUNIOR GUARD MATT WAGNER IS NINE POINTS AWAY FROM 1,000 FOR HIS CAREER. THE WINNER OF TONIGHT’S GAME WILL PLAY THE WINNER OF THE SEYMOUR AT PULASKI GAME ON SATURDAY.

THE PESHTIGO HIGH SCHOOL BOWLING TEAM WILL COMPETE  AT THE STATE TOURNAMENT FOR THE SECOND STRAIGHT YEAR.  THE BULLDOGS HAVE FOUR OF FIVE BOWLERS BACK FROM LAST YEARS STATE RUNNER-UP TEAM.  PESHTIGO WILL HAVE THREE PARTICIPANTS  IN THE SINGLES COMPETITION TODAY, THE TEAM EVENT IS SATURDAY, BOTH AT WESTON LANES NEAR WAUSAU.

TYLER LUND, TREVOR BLOCH AND MITCHELL AHRENS WILL COMPETE IN THE SINGLES EVENT.

 

TWO MENOMINEE HIGH SCHOOL BOWLERS WILL COMPETE AT STATE ON SATURDAY.  SENIORS COLE HOFFMAN AND JOE EBSCH  WILL BOWL IN THE STATE FINALS AT NORTHWAY LANES IN MUSKEGON.
