With the filing deadline past, races for the April 6th spring election in Wisconsin are set.

There will be two races in the City of Marinette as Mayor Steve Mayor Steve Genisot is being challenged by Roberta Davis while in the 5th Ward Incumbant alderperson Wally Hitt is being challenged by Liz Mikutowski.  Ward 2 alderman Jeff Skorik and Ward 6 alderwoman Debbie Klegin are also running for reelection, but have no opposition.

In the special election for the 89th Assembly seat vacated by John Nygren, five Republicans and one Democrat have been approved for the ballot.  Debbie Jacques of Green Bay, Elijah Behnke of Oconto, David Kamps of Coleman, Michael Kunesh of Marinette and Michael Schneider of Green Bay will face off in a Primary on February 16th.  Karl Jaeger of Marinette is the lone Democrat running.
