If you’ve recently had takeout food from your favorite local restaurant or coffee shop, you might have noticed a unique sticker attached to the container. That’s because the U.P. Foster Closet of Menominee is raising awareness for two very important causes, along with the promotion of their services to the communities that they serve. Cassie Lauren, President of the U.P. Foster Closet of Menominee, says, “we serve Marinette, Menominee, and Oconto Counties. Also, during the month of April, it’s Child Abuse Prevention month and in May it’s Foster Care Awareness month.”
Lauren says, “I’d like to let everyone know that at the Closet we do not have income guidelines.
If you should get takeout and see the sticker attached to your container or cup the U.P. Foster Closet is asking that you take a selfie and tag them and the restaurant or coffee house on Facebook to help raise awareness. If you need the U.P. Foster Closet’s services, you can contact them on Facebook at U.P. FOSTER CLOSET OF MENOMINEE, call 920 – 249 – 4162, or stop in to their new location at 915 14th Avenue, Menominee.
