01/17/2019- It looks like the Marinette School District’s current Superintendent will remain in the top post for a few more years. The Board of Education considered a contract extension for Dr. Wendy Dzurick through 2021 at their meeting Tuesday night. The Board and the District as a whole have recently spent much examining and rewriting their overall mission and vision. Dzurick says it was important to her to have the entire community involved in that process.
Looking ahead, Dzurick says she’s focusing on promoting not just students’ academic success, but a positive social-emotional experience that allows students to leave the district feeling confident and prepared for their future.
The Board of Education unanimously passed the contract extension. Dzurick has been serving as District Superintendent for about three years.
