09/17/2020- Charges have officially been filed against the suspect in a Labor Day weekend beating in Middle Inlet that left the victim fighting for his life. 26-year-old Jermy Starcke of Wausaukee made his initial appearance in Marinette County Court Wednesday and is facing felony counts of mayhem, aggravated battery, kidnapping, and false imprisonment for the incident that occurred in the early morning hours of September 5th. Officers discovered the male victim sitting near a vehicle on Louisa Road with significant trauma to his face and head. He was transported to the hospital and eventually flown to Froedert Hospital in Milwaukee where he was placed on a ventilator and feeding tube due to the severity of his injuries, which included a fractured skull, brain bleed, and significant brain swelling. An investigation eventually led to Starcke’s arrest, who told officers he and the victim had gotten into an argument after leaving a bar in Crivitz around 1:30 Saturday morning and that’s when Starcke beat the man and left him in the trunk of the vehicle Starcke is due back in court October 19th for an adjourned initial appearance.
