Three individuals took to the podium at Tuesday evenings City of Menominee Council Meeting to express why they would be the best fit for the recently vacated Ward Two position. Robert (Jerry) Derusha, Donna Marineau, and Patricia Mueller; all three have a vested interested in the City of Menominee and conveyed this to council. To be selected to the council, one person must have five written council votes. That person was Donna Marineau. Marineau says, “I’ve always thought of this and wanted to do this, to be a part of the city.”

Marineau was sworn in directly after council proceedings and will be assigned to committees and will serve out the rest of Steve Fifarek’s term for a year and a half.
