To get people to be active across the state of Wisconsin, a group of people dreamed up the Be Active Wisconsin challenge during the pandemic from areas such as Green Bay, Appleton, and Fort Atkinson. Adrienne Lacy City of Marinette Recreation Superintendent says, “Be Active Wisconsin is a challenge that is between the different communities in Wisconsin. Last year Team Marinette came in 6th place.”

Lacy says, “there is still time to sign up, take part, and retroactive your minutes if you need too.”

Team Marinette comprises residents from Peshtigo, Menominee, Marinette, and surrounding areas who would like to take part. There is no age limit to compete in the challenge. The cost is ten dollars per participant, and you receive a free Be Active Wisconsin t-shirt. To register you can do it a variety of ways: go online to marinette.recdesk.com , call 715-732-2006, or stop into the Community REC Center on Pierce Ave in Marinette.
