A sport growing in popularity is welcoming some of the best players to the City of Marinette tomorrow. If you’re unfamiliar, the game is like golf. The goal is to get the Frisbee or disc into the basket in the fewest tries as possible. Kyle Allen, an MA1 Advanced Player in the Found Your Mini Open, says, “we started the tournament with 76 available spots we have set that up that way so that we could have 19 holes set up with that many competitors. We added two more holes so we could add more competitors. Currently, we have 84 competitors with a wait list of three people.”

Allen says, “the tournament is two rounds of 21 holes.”

The Tournament begins at 9am on Saturday with a shotgun start at City Park in Marinette. Mikey’s Twisted Plate will serve food all day and there will also be discs for sale to the public. Whether you’re a beginner or more advanced, the excitement surrounding this Saturday could carry over into a park near you.
