In an effort to help the Weaver kids who tragically lost their parents Tara and Jerry in a traffic accident last Friday in eastern Delta County the Menominee Maroons Booster Club is continuing the U.P. support for the Weaver family by holding an “Orange – Out” game against Marquette at the UW Fieldhouse tonight at 6:30pm. Josh Kellner Menominee Maroons Booster Club Marketing Coordinator says, “we would like all fans to show up wearing orange or orange and black. They are the colors of Escanaba and we want everyone to be able to support them.”
Kellner says, “show up, show your support for the Eskimos, and of course support your Maroons.”
The make-up game with Escanaba will be held Wednesday, February 7th. At that time all of the proceeds from the “Orange-Out” game will be given to the Weaver Kids. If you would like to donate but cannot attend the game, there is a GoFundme page called Weaver Family Fundraiser or they also have an account with First Bank, which has locations in Escanaba, Gladstone, Bark River, Garden, Marquette, Ishpeming, Iron Mountain, and Kingsford.
