The Salvation Army will host a Feeding America Mobile Food Pantry tomorrow, July 21st at 10am. A mobile food pantry contains 15,000 pounds of food sent on a truck to provide food for families in need in our communities on a first come, first serve basis. Major Rhegan Stansbury of the Salvation Army says, “we know that access to food is so important, and Feeding America offers a lot of fresh ingredients which is great thing. As prices continue to remain high and budgets are strained, we are so glad that we can continue this program.”
Stansbury says, “we are going to once again be at the YMCA. It’s a location that works out very well and since the YMCA is doing the opposite month of us, it just keeps it in one place, easy for people to remember, and find us.”
The Feeding America Mobile Food Pantry begins at 10am and goes until noon tomorrow, July 21st. Stansbury says, “we’re always happy to have additional volunteers.” If interested, please call 715-735-7448. The Mobile Food Pantry will continue as a drive-thru process at the YMCA in Menominee. To learn how your business can become a sponsor, please contact Rhegan at 715-735-7448.
