The Town of Peshtigo has been selected to take part with the American Geophysical Union in the development of a scientific PFAS study of their choosing. Town of Peshtigo Chairperson Cindy Boyle says, “it’s an opportunity for our community to, at no expense to our community, to devise and develop a scientific study of our choosing.”

Boyle says, “they will align us and our committee with scientists.”

Established in 1919 by the National Research Council and operated as an unincorporated affiliate of the National Academy of Sciences; AGU’s Thriving Earth Exchange program connects communities with scientists and supports them as they work together to tackle local challenges related to natural hazards, natural resources, and climate change.
