A close call for a driver in Menominee County Monday. According to the Menominee County Sheriff’s Office, Monday morning’s slick road conditions caused a truck to skid off a bridge in Cedar River, which ended up in the river there. Fortunately, the driver was not injured and was able to climb out the window of the vehicle and make it to shore before the truck became fully submerged. The Menominee County Sheriff’s Office was assisted in the matter by the Cedarville Township Fire Department, Mellen Township Fire Department, a local auto salvage company, and the Menominee County Road Commission.
