09/11/2018- A Hermansville project eleven years in the making to honor the lives lost on September 11th is finally complete. The Twin Towers Memorial features two pieces of steel salvaged from the World Trade Center following the attacks. The steel sits atop a cement pad poured in the shape of the Pentagon to also commemorate those who were killed there. Bud Marsh, organizer of the Twin Towers Memorial says the exhibit is now open to the public, though fundraising efforts continue to fully enclose the memorial so other temperature-sensitive artifacts can be included. The memorial is located across from the Wildwood Restaurant in Hermansville. You can get more information about the Twin Towers Memorial on their Facebook page.
