Two more Marinette County Schools receive money to enhance safety features in their districts. Both the Coleman School District and the Peshtigo School District were awarded$60000 safety grants from the state’s Department of Justice. The grants come after Governor Scott Walker signed a law in March allocating $100-million to be distributed to schools for various security improvements. The Crivitz School District was the first in the area to receive funding under the initiative. They were awarded a $20000 safety grant in June.
