The last phase of construction along Pierce Ave. is scheduled to start today on Marinette High School property and within the City right-of-way. A large rig will be horizontally drilling to install conveyance piping between a junction vault to be installed on the southeast corner of High School property, south to the extraction well (EX-8) located near the water tower, and north to the GETS outfall northeast of the High School where treated water will be discharged into Ditch B. All work is dependent on weather. “This work will require the temporary closure of the southern-most entrance/exit to the High School parking lots,” says Kathleen Cantillon Director of Communications with Tyco.

Cantillon says, “the completion of the construction is coming soon. The remaining part is the treatment building.”

While Pierce Ave is the last leg of the system to be constructed Tyco remains engaged with community members throughout the process by holding bi-weekly office hour calls via zoom. These calls are where residents can talk to the Senior Engineer on the project and learn more details. For those who are interested in joining a meeting the next one is being held today at Noon online at  tycomarinette.com
