11/26/2018- Joblessness fell again in Marinette County last month. Wisconsin’s Department of Workforce Development has released preliminary unemployment figures for October and the local jobless rate came in at 3.1%, down both from September’s 3.3% and the 3.5% unemployment recorded in the county one year ago. Statewide, unemployment stood at 3.0% in October, making it the ninth consecutive month Wisconsin’s rate has been at or below 3%. The state’s jobless figures in October of 2017 came in at 3.2%.
