10/29/2018- Sioux City has left the harbor. LCS 11, the USS Sioux City, set sail from Fincantieri Marinette Marine last week headed for her christening in Annapolis. The ship and her crew made a pit stop in Detroit for fuel and supplies and will sail through Lake Erie and into Canada, eventually reaching the Atlantic Ocean. LCS 11 is expected to arrive in Annapolis on November 7th. The christening of the USS Sioux City has been set for November 17th at the US Naval Academy and she will be the first ship to be christened there.
