08/30/2019- West Shore Fishing Museum will host its annual Ice Cream Social this Sunday. Visitors are invited to celebrate the end of summer at an old-fashioned community picnic on the historic bay shore property dating back to 1893. The day features food, live music, nature trail walks, a play area for kids along with games and activities, a plant sale, and raffles. This popular event and the museum celebrate life in the region in the 19th and 20th centuries, with a focus on commercial fishing. There is no admission or parking charge. The park is located off Highway M-35 at Bailey Park, 15 miles north of Menominee or 7 miles south of Cedar River. Sunday’s Ice Cream Social runs from noon until 4 p.m.
