63-year-old Edward Lee “Uncle Pork” Britton of Wilson was sentenced to three years to 20 years in prison for Delivery of Methamphetamine. According to court documents and information presented in open court, the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team (UPSET), used a Confidential Informant (CI) in April, 20223, to buy 1.1 grams of methamphetamine from Britton, at a residence located on Bellefiul Lane D-3, Wilson. (Britton is also known as “Uncle Pork.”) During the sales transaction, Britton offered to sell larger quantities of methamphetamine at a “discounted price.” The CI made additional purchases of methamphetamine in May and June 20th, 2023. $100 of UPSET pre-recorded funds from the controlled purchase the day prior were located on the person of Britton and seized, along with additional quantities of methamphetamine, guns and drug paraphernalia used in Britton’s drug sales operation. The prison sentence was handed down on September 10th, by the Honorable Mary B. Barglind, in the 41st Circuit Court.
