Representative Elijah Behnke, of Oconto, who represents Wisconsin’s 89th District, is seeking the Republican nomination for the district. Behnke will be on the November 8th general ballot against challenger Jane Benson of Suamico. Behnke says, “I’m from here, I grew up here, I have a lot of connections to local communities. I’m proud of the work that I’ve done in the first year and a half.”

 

Behnke says, “you can’t represent people if you don’t know the people.”

Behnke is holding a get involved event at Embers in Peshtigo on Tuesday, June 14th beginning at 4:30pm. Including Behnke, other guests include Eric Tony, who is running for Attorney General and Pat Testin, who is running for Lieutenant Governor; along with the Marinette County Sheriff candidates Randy Miller and Chris Lesperance.
