04/03/2018–Besides the statewide race for a Supreme Court seat on Today’s ballot and a constitutional amendment to eliminate the position of state treasurer, there are several local seats and referenda to be determined.

Peshtigo School District voters will see two questions on their ballots. The first to approve borrowing up to $29,960,000 for the purpose of constructing and equipping a new Middle/ High School on including a two-station gymnasium and completing site improvements.  A second question asks voters to borrow another $950,000 to construct and equip an additional gym station onto the new Middle/High School.

Coleman school district voters also have two questions, the first, borrow up to  $10,850,000 for the purpose of paying costs of improvements and upgrades to the district’s existing school facility. The second resolution, if approved, would allow issuing an additional $2,980,000 in bonds to pay for upgrades to various high school education programs.

On the Marinette County Board, there is one contested position. In District 9, John Guarisco and Julie Vertz are running for an open seat.

In Marinette, just one contested race on the City Council where  Ward 6 Alderman Peter Noppenberg is being challenged by James Kostura.

There are also contested races in the Villages of Crivitz and Wausaukee, as well as on the Peshtigo and Coleman School Boards.

Polls open at 7am and will close at 8pm.
