04/04/2018–Marinette County Sheriff Jerry Sauve says Marinette County has recorded its first traffic fatality of 2018 as an autopsy has confirmed a Pembine woman’s death was caused by injuries suffered in a March 16th three-vehicle crash in the Town of Amberg.  Several persons were taken to Dickinson County Memorial hospital and were treated and released the same day.  That evening, the Pembine Rescue Squad was called to a residence in Pembine where a woman had collapsed and was unresponsive, and died at the scene. The victim was 66 year old Nancy Ross, who was a passenger in one of the vehicles involved the accident earlier in the day. And who had been treated and released at the hospital.  An autopsy was conducted and showed she died as a result of internal injuries suffered in the crash. As a result, her death is considered a traffic fatality.
