01/08/2019- Students across the area will receive an important safety lesson this month from the men and women who help keep the lights on. Wisconsin Public Service lineworkers will be visiting classrooms in January to share crucial safety precautions to students both locally and across Northeast Wisconsin as part of the WPS Path to Ground program. The presentation shows students how quickly electricity is conducted if safety measures aren’t followed and teaches them about the actions they should take in emergency situations that involve electricity. Among the school districts hosting the Path to Ground program this month are Wausaukee, Crivitz, Marinette, and Peshtigo. WPS has been offering Path to Ground presentations to students since 1982.
