03/12/2020- After years of tireless efforts by the Marinette County District Attorney’s Office, including some major personnel changes, the 400+ case backlog of unprocessed criminal complaints has been all but eliminated. District Attorney DeShea Morrow made that announcement to the County’s Public Services Committee Tuesday, paying credit to not only to the Assistant District Attorneys who aided in the work, but also to other department staff and the victim witness coordinator. Morrow assumed the District Attorney spot in 2018 following the departure of former County DA Allen Brey, who cited the backlog and a lack of resources to address it as part of his decision to step down.
