Yesterday in the 95-A District Court the Honorable Robert J. Jamo arraigned 44-year-old, Bradley Scott Heard, of Harve, Montana and Davell E. Blackman,43, of Chicago Heights, Illinois following their overnight arrests.According to court documents and information presented in open court, the charges follow an investigation by the Michigan State Police Hometown Security Team (MSPHST) in conjunction with the Menominee County Sheriff’s Office (MSCO) on Sunday, June 25th, during a drug interdiction of a vehicle being operated on US-2 near Balsam Lane, in Harris Township. They identified the driver as Heard. The vehicle was registered to Blackman, a passenger. MCSO K-9 Officer Kano gave a positive indication for narcotics in the vehicle during the investigation, which led to the discovery of a large vacuum-sealed baggie containing approximately 470 grams of suspected methamphetamine under the center console. They tested the suspected methamphetamine with a TruNarc Analyzer, with a positive result for methamphetamine. Menominee County Prosecuting Attorney Jeffrey Rogg charged both Heard and Blackman in single-count Felony Complaints alleging Possession with Intent to Deliver Methamphetamine. The offense carries a possible sentence of up to 20 years in prison.
